According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), breast lift procedures have become increasingly popular over the past 14 years. At an increase of 70 percent between 2000 and 2014, breast lift surgery has outpaced the growth rate of breast augmentation. However, breast augmentation did grow by 35 percent during that same time and still remains more popular than breast lift surgery.
The increased interest in breast lift surgery corresponds to the younger ages at which women are undergoing the procedure. The ASPS reports breast lifts are most popular among women between the ages of 30 and 55 – the same ages most likely to consider breast augmentation. It should come as no surprise that procedures in which augmentation and lift are combined have also seen an increase over the past several years.
