If you’re considering a cosmetic surgery procedure such as breast augmentation, it pays to be informed and selective when choosing your plastic surgeon. Many physicians call themselves cosmetic surgeons, but not all are specially trained or board-certified in plastic surgery, and some are not surgeons at all.
Selecting the right plastic surgeon is critical to your safety, comfort and long-term satisfaction with your results. Board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. George P. Chatson is proud to help patients from the greater Andover, Massachusetts, and Nashua, New Hampshire, areas achieve the look they desire, and he offers the following recommendations for finding the right plastic surgeon for you.
Dr. Chatson also welcomes you to contact our Andover plastic surgery practice at 978-687-1151 or our Nashua office at 603-882-2103 if you have any questions or would like to schedule a personal consultation.
One of the most important qualifications to look for in your plastic surgeon is board certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS). ABPS certification ensures your surgeon has graduated from an accredited U.S. medical school or passed a special certifying exam if he or she is a graduate of a foreign medical school, as well as received extensive surgical training in a program certified by the ABPS; to achieve certification, surgeons must then pass two rigorous board examinations.
For additional information about ABPS certification requirements, please visit our Why Choose a Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon page.
If you live in the Andover or Lowell, Massachusetts, areas or the Nashua, Salem or Manchester, New Hampshire, areas and you’re considering plastic surgery, please contact George P. Chatson, M.D., Cosmetic Surgery of the Face & Body to arrange your personal consultation.
