miraDry® Now Available in the Andover, MA, and Nashua, NH Areas

miraDry is a long-term solution for excessive underarm perspiration, and it is the only noninvasive technology cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to control underarm sweat.

This innovative treatment is now available in the greater Andover, Massachusetts, and Nashua, New Hampshire, areas through board-certified plastic surgeon and miraDry provider Dr. George P. Chatson. To schedule a personal consultation and learn if miraDry is right for you, please call our Andover office at 978-687-1151 or our Nashua practice at 603-882-2103 .

Approximately 1 in 5 Americans is thought to suffer from excess underarm sweat. This condition can have you continuously reapplying antiperspirant, stain your shirts and leave you feeling self-conscious.

While other treatments can temporarily disable the underarm sweat glands or involve surgery to completely remove sweat glands, miraDry can provide long-lasting results without the use of harsh chemicals or incisions. The miraDry process involves the use of a small handpiece that delivers precise bursts of energy to underarm sweat glands.

miraDry effectively eliminates the glands that produce excessive underarm perspiration; because the glands do not regenerate, the results are long-term. Patients typically require two miraDry treatments spaced about three months apart for optimal results. A recent clinical study on miraDry indicated an average decline in sweat of about 82 percent.

Each treatment takes approximately one hour. While patients may need to refrain from exercise for a few days after treatment, most are able to resume their day-to-day activities immediately after miraDry sessions.
