How Long Does a Brazilian Butt Lift Last?

Woman, Post-Butt Lift, Supporting Buttocks with Measuring Tape The Brazilian butt lift (BBL) is a semi-permanent procedure. Once the transferred fat has stabilized, your derriere should retain its enhanced size and shape for decades.

BBL is accomplished in stages, the first of which is using liposuction to remove fat from an area of your body with a little extra to give, such as the abdomen or thighs. This supplies the fat needed for your BBL while sculpting and toning adjacent or nearby areas for ideally complementary contours. After your fat has been harvested, it will undergo a purification process that will allow it to be more easily injected into the buttocks.

The body will retain between 60% and 80% of the fat following reinjection, reabsorbing and eliminating the remaining through natural channels. This process may take three to four months, but once complete, the results you see are the results you can expect to keep for the next 20+ years.
