What can a Brazilian Butt Lift Fix?

A Brazilian butt lift adds volume and shape your buttocks. It is an ideal solution if your butt is:

  • Too small for your body
  • Flat or squarish
  • Saggy or loose
  • Uneven or asymmetrical

If you find your backside unappealing or desire a fuller and more even appearance, you may be a good Brazilin butt lift candidate. Get in touch with Dr. Chatson to discuss your body, your desires, and your options to find out for sure.

How is a Brazilian Butt Lift Performed?

The Brazilian butt lift is performed with fat harvested from your own body through liposuction. This fat, taken from a donor area with sufficient supply, is processed and cleaned before being re-injected into targeted areas throughout your buttocks.

An alternative to buttock augmentation with implants, the Brazilian butt lift allows for much smaller incisions, a lower rate of complications, and no risk of implant rejection, making it a safer and more effective option for butt augmentation.

Where is the Fat Used in a Brazilian Butt Lift Taken From?

The fat used during your Brazilian butt lift will be taken from your own body through liposuction. The most common donor sites are the waist, hips, and abdomen, areas where stubborn accumulations of fat can typically be found. However, Dr. Chatson can use fat from any area of the body, including the mid and low back, the chest, and the legs to collect sufficient donor tissue.

Because liposuction is used to remove fat from a donor site, that area of the body will be contoured in addition to the augmentation of your buttocks during your Brazilian butt lift, adding one more benefit to this already impressive procedure.

How Long Does it Take to Recover from a Brazilian Butt Lift?

Recovery from any plastic surgery procedure will be dependent on several factors that are unique to the patient. However, in general, most people are able to resume working and less strenuous activities within one week of their procedure. More demanding forms of exercise will need to wait for three to four weeks.

During your Brazilian butt lift recovery, you will return to our Nashua, NH or Andover, MA office for follow-up visits. During this time, Dr. Chatson can help you determine which activities are appropriate to resume and provide you with a personalized timeline to help you ease back into your normal routines.

How Long Do Results from a Brazilian Butt Lift Last?

Results from your buttock augmentation surgery can last a lifetime if you take care to maintain your weight. Some of the fat initially injected will be reabsorbed by the body, but the remaining fat is just that, fat from your own body that behaves and responds like all of the fat in your own body. Weight fluctuations, including weight loss, will have an impact on results, but if care is taken to maintain a healthy weight, your results should be long-lasting.

During your time in our care, Dr. Chatson will discuss ways to maintain your Brazilian butt lift results to help ensure you remain pleased with your newly enhanced backside for years to come.
