Breast Asymmetry

Women with significant breast asymmetry require careful assessment and preoperative planning in order to achieve optimal breast surgery results. Some combination of breast augmentation, breast lift (mastopexy), or breast reduction may be required in order to accomplish breast symmetry. If one breast is significantly underdeveloped, an initial step to perform tissue expansion of the smaller breast may precede a second operation to place a permanent breast implant.
